|Event||Haydn Symphonies Project - part 4|
|Venue||Eldon Community Centre,
|Description||Join Peter Wood for more of the Haydn Symphonies Project,
Members £10, Non Members £13
We will look at symphonies 6 (Le Matin), 7 (Le Midi) and 8 (Le Soir). These were 3 of the first symphonies written after Haydn started work as Vice - Kappelmeister for the Esterhazy family at Eisenstadt.
The symphonies are not quite as straight forward as those we will have looked at in the past and include flutes and bassoons, and wind instruments have some soloistic passages in these symphonies.
In symphony no. 6 there are also parts for solo violin, cello and bass and in symphonies No. 7 and 8 there are parts for solo violins (1 & 2), cello and bass.
