Baroque Cabaret

Soprano Valentina Marghinotti performed with players from the Cobweb Orchestra on Saturday at Bowes Museum at the preview of the new exhibition The Power and the Virtue: Guido Reni’s Death of Lucretia. Click here to go to a video which includes us playing.

In addition to the exhibition, you can listen to a soundscape, ‘Us Too’, produced by arts and education training company Changing Relations, with interviews from people affected by domestic abuse, accompanied by music recently recorded by Cobwebs. The music was created by local artist Rupert Philbrick, and a live performance will take place in Durham (possibly in the Palace Green Library) on Sunday 24th November.

There’ll also be another Cobweb concert at Bowes Museum on 19 January 2020 to accompany the Reni exhibition.
