We have 2 fantastic concerts in the new year that we’d really like you to enrol for as soon as possible. Please read below for more information. We’ve also been adding lots of dates for the Spring Term to our website too, so please do get dates in your diary for the new year!

Cobweb Orchestra in Concert – Bowes Museum
Sunday 19th January

Bowes Museum, Newgate, Barnard Castle DL12 8NP

Members £12.50/Non Members £17
Rehearsal 10.am – 2.00 pm. Performance 3.00 – 4.45 pm.

Cobweb Orchestra will be performing a concert at Bowes Museum with an Italian theme to accompany an exhibition of paintings by the Guido Reni (1575-1642). The programme will feature Benjamin Britten’s sparkling arrangements of Rossini’s “Soiress Musicales”, Allegri’s “Miserere”, Mendelssohn’s’ “Italian” symphony, and extracts of operas by Mascagni, Verdi and Puccini.

There will be an additional rehearsal for this event on Sunday 12th January, 2-5pm at Dipton Community Centre. Please indicate on your enrolment form if you can attend this rehearsal or not. Please note, if you cannot attend the rehearsal it won’t rule you out of taking part in the concert.

Saturday 1st February
United Reformed Church, Tankerville Terrace, Jesmond, NE2 3AE

Members £10/Non Members £13
Rehearsal 9.30 am -12.30 pm. Performance 1.00 – 2.00 pm

Cobweb Orchestra will be performing a concert as part of the Brundibar Festival at the United Reform Church in Jesmond. Programme to include Dohnanyi’s “Festive Overture” and Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with soloists Alexandra Raikhlina (violin) Liubov Ulybysheva.(cello) and Yoshie Kawamura (piano)

There will be an additional rehearsal for this event on Sunday 12th January, 11-1pm at Dipton Community Centre. Please indicate on your enrolment form if you can attend this rehearsal or not. Please note, if you cannot attend the rehearsal it won’t rule you out of taking part in the concert.
