Tchaikovsky Symphony No 6 Study Day
Sunday 3rd December, 11-4pm
Haxby Memorial Hall, Haxby, YO32 3HT
You are invited to come and play Tchaikovsky’s 6th Symphony with the Cobweb Orchestra in York on Sunday 3 December.
If you don’t live in York, why not come a day early and visit St Nicholas Fair for a spot of Christmas shopping on the Saturday? You’ll also be able to enjoy a glass (or two) of festive mulled wine from one of the traditional wooden chalets to get you in the mood for playing Tchaikovsky on Sunday!

A message about parts from the Library Team:
We have an excellent orchestra building up for 3rd December when we’ll work away at this magnificent piece of extravagant romanticism and try to come up with a complete play through by the end of the day.
Most players will probably want to have a look at their parts beforehand, so here is where you can find something to download and print off.
We have had transposed parts made for Bb trumpets and Bb 2nd clarinet (most of the piece is for A clarinet) which can be sent to players ahead of time if they request them.
For players who arrive at the venue without a part, there will be parts there that you can borrow on the day or, should you still want your own part, photocopying facilities available to print one off (for which there will be a charge of £2.50). However, this does take a while and can lead to delays getting started, so we hope that as many people as possible come with their own pre-printed (and pre-practiced) parts.

That’s all for this week, I hope you all have a great time with Chris at the weekend!
Best wishes,
Event Co-ordinator, Cobweb Orchestra
