Cobweb News 16.05.18

What a fantastic weekend we had! Firstly, a huge congratulations to those who played in the reopening of the Middlesbrough Town Hall event on Friday, I heard it was fantastic, and really well received by the very large audience! Below is a great pic of you all. Then Peter Wood’s Haydn Symphonies project reached it’s halfway point on Sunday, thanks to all those who are supporting the days, and thank you to Peter for all his hard work and knowledge.

Schumann Cello Concerto with Tanya Anisimova

**Upper strings still urgently required!!**

American-Russian cellist Tanya Anisimova and Andy Jackson will work with us on the Schumann Cello Concerto. Tanya is also performing at Ushaw College on the previous evening, so you can make a weekend of it.

The work is scored for solo cello, two flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons, two horns, two trumpets, timpani, and strings so we’re looking for a full orchestra to accompany Tanya for the afternoon to enjoy this mysterious work.

You can have a look at the music in advance at the link below:,_Op.129_(Schumann,_Robert)
