Guinea Pig Orchestra/Composers and Arrangers Day

See message below from Andrew Cottrell:
Thanks to all of you who supported the C&A Group by playing our “Northern
Hills” suite in the Guinea Pig Orchestra (GPO) in March. It was great to have
the opportunity to hear our compositions played “live”. Since then we have
been further developing our work and we are now asking you to help us by
playing our compositions again on Saturday 3rd October.
Your feedback will be very valuable to us. After that we hope that we will soon
have the suite ready for rehearsal and ultimately recording during 2016.
As always, enrolment for the GPO is free of charge. C&A members who are
bringing compositions will be asked to pay a small fee of £5.
We will not be having a shared lunch at this event, so please do bring your own, but teas and coffees will be available for a donation.

Ridley Hall Residential, 28-29th November
See message below from Anita:
Hi All,
It is approaching the time of year where we start to think ahead to the colder months and the joys of the Autumn Residential which will again be held at the beautiful Ridley Hall venue.
I have attached the information sheet and deposit form (available on the event webpage) which, for those of you who have never been before, gives an overview of the weekend’s activities.
We do need you to sign up quickly as the weekend can only go ahead if we have viable numbers involved to form an orchestra and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Hopefully we can get a good, balanced orchestra to tackle some great pieces of music.
