All the news seems dreadful at the moment, so here’s a tiny bit of cheering information from my database:
During the first week of February, we had more players attending weekly groups than ever before. Over a period of just 4 days, 236 players gathered in front of 9 different conductors and played over 30 different pieces of music.
Now, I know that is not necessarily 236 different players as some of you go to more than one group, but that’s still a lot of people and a lot of music. Wouldn’t it be great if we could get everybody in the same room at the same time to form a really huge orchestra?
Maybe now isn’t quite the right time with all the talk of restricting public gatherings, but it’s something to look forward to once things return to normal, hopefully in time for our 25th Anniversary celebrations in October.
That’s all for this week. Please do take care and follow the guidelines issued by the trustees.
