Cobweb News 25: 14/11/2015

Dear all,
I hope you’ve all had a great week, sadly we didn’t win the Culture Life Award but we were highly praised and it’s great to see us being recognised. I’ll have some pictures of the awards event soon.
Performance/Playing Opportunities

  • ‘Everyone Can Play Mozart’ on 21 November – next Saturday! Please do sign up for this – spaces are available for everyone! This day is a great opportunity for wanting an introduction to orchestral playing; the music is accessible and the day is very relaxed. For more information and to book please see the link here.
  • Billingham Cobweb Group are having a Christmas concert on Monday December 7th at Billingham. Rehearsal at 7pm, concert at 8pm. All Cobweb players are welcome to come and join in – just let Judith know and she’ll make sure there’s some music available. Contact her on

Come Watch Us!

  • We’re performing on Sunday 6 December at Sage Gateshead at 7.15pm. For more information and to buy tickets please see here. The poster for the event is here, please do print and distribute as widely as possible!
  • Anyone is welcome to come and watch our play through on Saturday at 6pm of the day’s work, looking at works by Mozart. Tracy Reed will be playing the Clarinet Concerto, which will be great and a great introduction to classical music if your friends are interested!

That’s all for this week, looking forward to seeing many of you on Saturday!
Best wishes,
Event Co-ordinator, Cobweb Orchestra
