Cobweb News 29 – 2013

Dear All,
Playing at Brinkburn Priory on Saturday was such a treat. We performed well to an appreciative audience who gave £127.00 in donations.
A message from Liz Carlile . . .
I have been almost overwhelmed by the kind messages and cards you have sent since Alan died. Many of them have reminded me of little incidents I had forgotten, and I have both laughed and cried over them. Thank you for your support and friendship in this very peculiar time of my life.
I’d like to say thank you too for the beautiful bunch of lilies, which arrived last week. Some kind person remembered that I love flowers, and even more love just one sort in a vase.
So thank you for everything.
Finally, we are having a ‘Celebration’ of Alan’s life on August 31st, at 12.30pm in St. Aidan’s Church, Tintern Avenue, Billingham, followed by a light buffet lunch. Please, if you knew Alan, come and celebrate his life and achievements with us. And please, if you have a special memory of him, share it with us, either on the day or through email. He was a wonderful man and I want to remember as much of his life as I can.

Alan was lucky to be a resident in a CLEVEARC home. This charity is committed to providing specialised care for people with Alzheimer’s. Alan would have found it difficult to settle anywhere else. You can help the charity in its work by: sending a cheque (made out to Cleveland Alzheimer’s Residential Centre Ltd) to Liz Carlile at 48 South Road Stockton, TS20 2SZ
Thank you
Please email me ( if you are able to be at the Celebration of Alan’s life so that Liz can have an idea of numbers.
