Cobweb News 31: 27/11/14

Dear all,
Well done to all those who had a fantastic go through Carmina Burana on Saturday at Sage Gateshead. We had a lovely sized audience that supported our run through at the end of the day, and managed to try every movement! Congratulations to the soloists, they did brilliantly. If you’re not managing to keep up with us on twitter, a picture of rehearsals is below:
Obviously, as we near to Christmas, we have limited events left for this year. However, we are still busy in the process of planning the Spring events, so do keep your eyes peeled on the website for more study days etc… We should have more info for you next week.

It is still possible to attend Ridley Hall – this weekend – as a day visitor if you would like. To find out how to book, or more information, please contact Anita on

Cobweb Orchestra in Concert at Alnwick Gardens
Join us for a lovely concert of festive favourites alongside the Durham Scratch Choir at Alnwick Gardens in December.
We will be playing in the foyer bit, so very much undercover!
Concert dress is the usual concert attire, white top, black bottoms and waistcoats, but please think extra warm clothing for this one!
Food will be bring your own or from the cafe there as there isn’t an awful lot of time.
The rehearsal will be between 10am -12 pm. Then we will have two 40 minute performances at 12.30 and again at 1.30 pm.
Please don’t forget to bring a music stand and some pegs to attach your music to the stand!
We have a lovely sized chamber orchestra forming for this one, but spaces are still available if you want to play. Enrolment form is available on the event webpage.
A short and sweet one this week, so that’s all!
Best wishes,
