Calling all would-be conductors…
A message from Andy:
On Sunday 12th March 2017, the conductor Lev Parikian, co-author of the book “Waving, not drowning”, will be visiting us to lead a session for Cobweb players who would like to try their had at conducting. He will be demonstrating some tricks of the trade, divulging some well-kept secrets and giving technical advice.
We should have time for 6 conductors to practice with the orchestra, so if you’d like to be one of them, let Andy (andy.jackson0@ talk21.com) know soon. Places will be on a strictly “first come” basis.
As ever, we’ll need a willing orchestra for the event, so please put the date in your diaries whether you fancy taking up the baton or not. Venue to be confirmed as soon as possible.
…
That’s all for this week – I hope you all havve a great time at Chris’ study day on Sunday.
Best wishes,
Lorna
