Join conductor Mark Edwards for a chance to get to grips with one of the most exciting works in the 20th century repertoire! An afternoon of rehearsing followed by a presentation for friends and relatives at 6pm.
To join this one please sign up at Sage Gateshead Box Office on 0191 443 4661, or by clicking this link:
Please do let me know that you’re coming though so we can be sure we have enough music – transposed trumpet parts are available!
This is our last study day of 2016 so don’t miss it!

Request for a bassoon?
Does anyone have one that they’re not using which could be loaned to an experienced player to use with Cobwebs? Please get in touch with me on if so.

Calling all would-be conductors…
A message from Andy:
On Sunday 12th March 2017, the conductor Lev Parikian, co-author of the book “Waving, not drowning”, will be visiting us to lead a session for Cobweb players who would like to try their had at conducting. He will be demonstrating some tricks of the trade, divulging some well-kept secrets and giving technical advice.
We should have time for 6 conductors to practice with the orchestra, so if you’d like to be one of them, let Andy (andy.jackson0@ know soon. Places will be on a strictly “first come” basis.
As ever, we’ll need a willing orchestra for the event, so please put the date in your diaries whether you fancy taking up the baton or not. Venue to be confirmed as soon as possible.

That’s all for this week – I hope you all havve a great time at Chris’ study day on Sunday.
Best wishes,
Event Co-ordinator, Cobweb Orchestra
