With complete disregard for the weather, we will play beautiful music from the European Fringe – Bohemia (Dvorak and Smetana) Norway (Grieg) Hungary (Kodaly and Liszt) and Poland (Wieniaski and Chopin) at our annual Musical Picnic at Summerhill Pavilion in Newcastle. If it’s either lovely weather we’ll play outside, or we play inside with the windows open and the audience listen from the open-air foyer. The audience are invited to bring food to eat either before the concert and enjoy an afternoon of music.
Dress – usual Cobweb concert dress, black bottoms, white top/shirt with a waistcoat and / or neckwear.
Food: bring your own picnic, or share with friends
Parking: tricky, so come by public transport if possible
Please don’t forget to bring a music stand and pegs just in case.
Cost to audience – Free. (There will be a bucket collection, and they will be invited to pay what you think it’s worth) They don’t need a ticket as there will be no pre-sales. Just turn up early for a good place for your picnic blanket.
Participation Fee for Players
