Performances

Our study days usually end with a ‘play through’ of a particular piece of music. These are free and open to anyone who would like to come and listen. Information can be found in the Events Diary.

The Cobweb Orchestra also has off-shoot groups who give a variety of performances at various venues.

Dates for your diary

Dalston Village Hall, Dalston, Carlisle. CA5 7QA.

The excellent young cellist Neil Sild will be our soloist, with the orchestra conducted by the ever popular Joe Davies. This informal performance will conclude a day especially for cellists, which has been organised following  a kind bequest from the husband of Pam, who used to play cello with our Dalston group.

They are all Cobweb players: Chrissie (flute), Anita (oboe), Tracy (clarinet), Rye (bassoon) and Clare (horn). This time they’ll be performing some Christmas music so you may even get the chance to sing along!

If you’re too busy with Christmas preparations and can’t make this one, there’ll be another chance to see them at Shincliffe in June.
