New trustees needed

The Cobweb Orchestra needs you!

A message from John Bond (Chair of Board of Trustees)

I am writing to members and non-members to make you aware that nearly half the members on the Board of Trustees will be standing down this September. Three of these are not eligible for re-election since they have served the maximum of nine years as stated in our constitution. We are therefore seeking nominations for up to six places on the Board. We are particularly seeking people with expertise or an interest in the role of Treasurer and in event management and marketing. The Board meets four times a year but much of the work is done by subgroups of the Board and other members of Cobwebs co-opted to subgroups because of their particular expertise or experience. Much of the work of Trustees is done by Email and opportunistic meetings at Cobweb events. If you are interested in the role of Treasurer, please discuss with Phil Wherry what is involved. If you are interested in standing for election to the Board or simply wish to explore informally further what is involved in being a Trustee, please get in touch with Ruth Tanner (Board Secretary) or myself and we will be happy to discuss further with you.
