Join Mark Edwards for an epic study day on Elgar’s Symphony No. 2. Mark is currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music for a Diploma in Conducting, which involves him working as assistant conductor for the BBC Philharmonic and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. As part of the course, he’ll be working on Elgar’s Symphony No.2 in a masterclass with Sir Mark Elder. He invites you to work with him on this amazing piece for a large scale orchestra. The Shepherds Dene autumn residential is a fully programmed weekend of orchestral music, but
there are generous meal breaks that give time to socialise, relax, go for walks in the beautiful
grounds or get together in small groups and play any music you might decide to bring with you.
We’ve had a great response so far, but there is still room for a few more people either to
stay or as day visitors. For those of you who have signed up it is now time to firm up your
booking and pay the balance if you’ve paid a deposit or the full amount if you haven’t paid a
